Medical Missions

Most people in developed parts of the world spend their days listening to only one “FM” station in their minds. That “station” is WIIFM, which stands for What’s In It for Me! Our world would be a better place if we all just changed that questions to “How Can I Help?”

Short Term Medical Missionary Service:

Each year Medical Mission Service Trips are scheduled to provide an opportunity for medical professionals and other volunteers participate in short-term mission teams to work at our RTC Medical Centre campus in the Southwestern part of Kenya near Lake Victoria and Oyugis, Kenya. RTC Missions is currently planning quarterly medical mission trips beginning in October, 2022.

One team may include many different areas of medical expertise and will serve a variety of people in the Bondo Awino village who need a broad scope of medical services.

Missionary teams represent many different specialties that RTC Medical Centre is prepared to receive. These most common specialists include ENT, OB/GYN, Anesthesiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery. All other medical professionals are welcome and encouraged to consider a mission trip which is life-changing for both the care givers and the patients alike.

You don’t have to be a certified medical professional to participate. Lay-volunteers are welcome if willing to work hard and assist the medical teams with highly organized patient processing, documentation and the logistics process of caring for large blocks of clinical and surgical groups scheduled during the medical missionary team visits.

Join with us on a 13-day short-term medical missions trip and help us save lives and provide “Maisha Bora” (Swahili for “better life”) for your brothers and sisters in Africa. You are desperately needed. To begin the process and decide if this type of missionary service is right for you, complete and submit the form below to our Medical Director.  Thank you!
